(CHICAGO)(January 17, 2010) Republican U. S. Senate candidate and insurgent "Internet Powerhouse" Andy Martin has unexpectedly become a small factor in the hotly contested U.S. Senate race in Massachusetts.
Martin has been contacted by national media seeking clarification concerning a statement by Republican Scott Brown concerning Barack Obama’s parents’ marriage.
“The attempts to smear Scott Brown as a ‘birther’ are nothing but a liberal media fraud. The term ‘birther” was invented by the media to describe individuals who believe Barack Obama was not born in the United States. Neither I nor Brown fall into that category.
“I have consistently taken the view that Obama was born in Hawai’i as he says. Neither I nor Brown are ‘birthers.’ Neither of us believes Obama was born anywhere but Hawai’i,” Martin says. “Obama was born in Hawai’i.”
“But, the issue of whether Obama was legitimate, and whether his parents were legally married, is an entirely different matter.
“Under United States law, in 1961 we followed British law in recognizing non-US marriages (we still do). Under British law, Barack Obama senior was legally married in Kenya. Liberal media have tried to adopt the racist view that ‘tribal marriages’ were not legal. But under British colonial law, the marriage of Barack (Sr.) and Kezia Obama was 100% legal under British law.
“The argument that Barack Onyango Obama, President Obama's grandfather, would have allowed his son Barack senior to engage in an illegal marriage in Kenya is sheer nonsense. The Kenyan marriage was 100% legal. Period. I do not think you could find anyone in Kenya who would argue otherwise. Because the Obama marriage in Kenya was legal under British law, President Obama’s father’s purported marriage in Hawai’i was bigamous and therefore null and void under Hawai’i law.
“Hawai’i law is very clear on that fact. Tagupa v. Tagupa, 121 P.3rd 924 (Hawai’i App. 2005).
“No competent attorney who is familiar with marriage law could argue to the contrary. Barack senior was legally married under British-Kenyan law, with a family. He came to Hawai’i while legally married. He purported to marry a second time.
“The Obama ‘marriage’ in Hawai’i was bigamous and therefore null and void. When Barack was born, he was born in Hawai’i, but his birth was illegitimate.
“Obama’s sense of shame that he was illegitimate may explain his reluctance to release his original, typewritten 1961 birth certificate,” Martin says.
“I do not think the term ‘illegitimate’ is used generally any more,” Martin concludes. “But in Obama's case the term still applies. Unlike a child born of two unmarried parents, who can now be called a ‘nonmarital’ child, Barack Obama was born of a void marriage, due to the prior valid marriage of his father.
“So the Obama ‘marriage in Hawai’i enjoyed no legitimacy under either American or Kenyan law. President Obama could not, for example, have inherited from his father had the father left an estate when he died.
“Both Barack Obama and I know the truth. That's why he constantly has his smear artists attacking me and trying to stop me from becoming the Republican Party candidate for U. S. Senator in Illinois.
“Obama’s latest attempt to smear Scott Brown with lies is despicable. Why won’t Barack Obama just admit the truth to the American people and be done with it? Obama’s ego is so colossal and his arrogance is so all-encompassing that he is mentally incapable of admitting to the American people the true facts concerning his birth: born in Hawai’i, to parents who could not be legally married because his father was already legally married and therefore a bigamist.
“Americans would feel a whole lot better about Barack Obama if he stopped lying to us and just faced the truth. The truth may be painful for Obama to acknowledge. But the truth is the truth. Obama should stop smearing people who tell the truth about his unfortunate legal situation when he was born. Obama himself did nothing wrong; it was his putative parents who broke the law. Still, the fact that he was the product of an illegal and void marriage under Hawai’i law is a legal fact that he cannot deny or conceal.
“Scott Brown was absolutely correct to express his concerns. Maybe he had read my book, ‘Obama: The Man behind The Mask.’”

Ninety-six hours that continues to change American politics
Dear friends and supporters,
I am in New York for a New Year’s Eve special network party.
On the plane from Chicago I looked back at an extraordinary period in my life and the life of our nation. Ten years ago I was at an unbelievable millennium party in a skyscraper. We looked out on the world and celebrated with great optimism. If you had told me then what was ahead, including living in Baghdad in 2003, I would have gasped, and then laughed in disbelief.
But then came 9/11, Baghdad, the disastrous 2008 presidential election and many more events in my life that continue to shape how I view the world and how I would serve you as a U. S. Senator.
As a Christian who has studied Judeo-Christian theology extensively, I have learned one lesson: man proposes and God disposes. We never know what lies ahead. Only God knows. But the fact that God holds ultimate wisdom and knowledge does not excuse us from the duty to prepare for the future.
At the beginning of 2009, a small committee met to shape my campaign for the 2010 U. S. Senate primary election. We assumed Mark Kirk would eventually be drawn into the process and we planned for his arrival as a candidate. There was a detailed plan, literally a “blueprint.”
Friday, New Year’s Day, we will provide an exclusive “behind the scenes” analysis of how we planned months ago to defeat Mark Kirk, and how down-to-the-day we are following a predetermined timetable. As extraordinary as it sounds, we knew day-by-day how the campaign would unfold.
Obviously, there were surprises for some of us (myself included). We have profited from unexpected bonuses, and we continue to prepare for unexpected challenges.
When our beloved President Ronald Reagan was in the White House, the hard left elitist media used to ridicule and attack him for being less than a perfect person. Guess what? I am less than perfect too.
Over 200 years ago, less-than-perfect men and women created this great nation as a beacon of individual freedom and perpetual liberty.
Reagan had a love for America and a vision for our future greatness that gave him the energy to lead us to green pastures. I share President Reagan’s vision and his passion, and his energy for bringing America back to greatness.
These are sad days for America. No, Barack Obama is not an “alien” usurper in the White House as some suggest. Tens of millions of innocent dupes voted for him. Now they are paying the price for their perfidiousness. Obama is dismantling our national heritage. Last year, I predicted Obama’s socialist revolution on Sean Hannity’s America:

Fighting Obama as your United States Senator will not be easy. But my life’s experiences, including the extreme challenges of the past decade, have prepared me to identify anti-American leaders such as Obama, and to stand up to such enemies of our great republic.
As we celebrate New year’s Day, ask yourself: what kind of Senator do you want? Do you want someone with a depth of experience, who can be an affective opponent of Obama’s anti-American agenda, as I am? Or do you want a senator such as Mark Kirk who generally supports Obama’s malignant agenda to disarm and demean America with gun control, hate crimes laws and restrictions on free speech?
What I have done through 2009, and what I will do on February 2nd, 2010, is offer every Republican voter a sound, solid choice: they can vote for me and vote for optimism, and the energy to attack the Democrats. Or they can vote to merely play defense against the Democratic Party’s depredations, as many Republicans think is sufficient, and support Mark Kirk.
Kirk wants to continue along Obama’s journey into the American abyss (cap and trade, abortion, etc.), just a little more slowly than Obama. I want to lead us back to the promised land of economic opportunity and personal freedom.
Do you want to move forward confidently, with a faith in America’s glorious past and future, or do you want to adopt Mark Kirk’s defeatist view and surrender to Obama’s values and monster plan to lay low the people of this nation? Following Obama’s “Chicago Way” will leave us disgraced, impoverished and diminished in the eyes of the world.
I am fighting to give you a choice. The choice is yours.
Yes, I am a fighter. And yes the words “Hardball” and “Raw Politics” can be applied to my efforts to save our state and save our nation from Obama and Kirk and others who would bow down to emperors and potentates. I bow only to the Constitution of the United States. I genuflect only to the American people. No one else.
If you want me to fight for you, I will fight. God has afforded me the privilege of being prepared to do so. Together we can proceed to rescue America and together we can redeem Ronald Reagan’s prophecy that our “best days lie ahead of us.” That is the American dream that every true American shares.
Barack Obama and Mark Kirk do not share President Reagan’s confident and optimistic view of the future. I do.
God bless you and your family and loved ones, and God bless the memory of President Ronald Reagan.

As the Illinois U. S. Senate primary moves into high gear on December 28th, Internet Powerhouse and U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin prepares to expose embarrassing links between U. S. If a candidate surrounds himself with sleazy advisers, what does that say about the candidate?

It has been nearly six months since we have had to solicit any financial support for our efforts. The Committee’s financial resources are once again depleted.
Here is what we need:
Second National Conference:
We are convening a Second National Conference on Barack Obama’s missing birth certificate and missing high school/college/law school records. We estimate that the cost of producing the conference will be approximately $2,000, covering space rental, videotaping (for Internet posting), editing, etc. If you can contribute financially to helping us run a successful conference, please do. If you can also attend, more’s the better.
“Obama: The Hawai’i Years”:
Our short film “Obama: The Hawai’i Years” is almost ready to view. We plan to release it before the National Conference in December. We are still short of money to complete the project and are running in a deficit situation. We need $7,500 to finish the project. If we receive $10,000 we will be able to afford to post the entire film on the Internet unedited, instead of posting it on YouTube in short segments.
In the film we ask the questions that we have asked in the past, as well as making new inquiries. We offer some new, expanded answers. And we do so with pictures of Hawai’i and Obama’s early years. And, finally, we point to the unanswered questions about Barack Obama’s family history.
Even though I am very knowledgeable about Obama’s past, actually producing the script and going to Honolulu to shoot the film helped me to probe deeper into the mysteries surrounding the man. Obama’s opaque “roots” are not something that can be deciphered in one pass.
We need your financial support to do justice to the historical research we are conducting and producing.
Unlike some of Obama’s critics, I have been scrupulously honorable and honest in seeking only the truth about him, and trying to find only the facts about his past. Because of my passion for the truth and the facts, I seem to get under Obama’s skin, whereas his critics who float unsustainable theories are ignored. Obama wants to hide the truth; help us in our search for the facts.

The “Second National Conference on Barack Obama’s Missing Birth Certificate and College Records” is taking shape. Here is our first update.
Because I have always limited myself to searching for the truth and finding the facts about Barack Obama, I enjoy worldwide credibility as the first investigative scholar on Barack Obama’s early years. I believe it is inappropriate to attack Obama with anything less than the facts and truth. My book on Barack Obama, “Obama: The Man Behind The Mask” continues to sell on Amazon.com and through the publisher OrangeStatePress.com because it is an attempt to get at the truth behind Barack Obama.
As all of you know, I am currently a Republican candidate for United States Senator in the February 2, 2010 Illinois primary. During the past several months I have devoted 100% of my time to the campaign. On December 28th we will be “full-time” on the campaign once again. But there is a brief period in mid-December when we can meet to discuss Obama developments.
I know that all of you want to discuss and review developments in 2009 concerning Obama’s birth and high school/college/law school records. So we are organizing a Second Conference for December 19-19 in New York City. Obama continues to refuse to release his original typewritten 1961 Hawai’i birth certificate. He refuses to release any of his Punahou School (Honolulu private school) records, his Occidental College records, his Columbia University records or his Harvard Law School records. Obama’s says “trust me;” do you?
1. Location
The conference will be held in New York City December 18-19. We plan a Friday evening session, 7-9:00 P.M. December 18th, and a Saturday morning afternoon session December 19th. The conference will be videotaped for broadcast on the Internet. We are scouting for a meeting location in midtown Manhattan.
Obama saboteurs stole the tapes of our first National Conference in Washington, DC. We will ensure they do not steal the tapes of this meeting. For some reason, Obama and his associates are terrified of the investigative work we do on his personal history. What is he hiding? What doesn’t he want us to find out?
2. Hawai’i freedom of information materials
We received a very generous grant to cover the costs of paying the State of Hawai’i for freedom-of-information materials. Unfortunately, those materials did not arrive in time for our first National Conference. We are reviewing the materials for our New York meeting.
3. Conference Registration fee and ID requirement
As always, we need some advance indication of how large the attending group could be to make space-planning decisions. Therefore, we have added a nominal $35 advance registration fee which covers both sessions. The door charge will be $50 to attend one or both meetings. Please fill out the attendance form and mail it back with the $35 to arrive in New York before December 16th. Please include a copy of a photo ID so we can confirm your identity when you arrive at the conference. (The late fee will be $50 cash only “at the door” with a photo ID.) Once we know how many to plan for, we can work out how formal or informal to be.
We are currently scouting midtown meeting options in Manhattan. We will notify you by e-mail as soon as we choose a location. You can also follow developments on our blog.
4. Conference agenda
In the near future you will be receiving the first draft of our proposed agenda. You are invited to begin submitting suggestions, comments and proposals for any future revisions.
We do have a big “surprise” planned for the conference, of course. That will be revealed at the Saturday morning session.
5. All are welcome—but please bring evidence, not illusions
Anyone is welcome to register and attend our conference. But please, if you want to express a theory, bring some rational, tangible evidence to support your claims about Mr. Obama. Those of you who know me know I am committed to working only with accurate information and, as we lawyers say, “reasonable inferences drawn from the available facts or available documentation.”
Pie-in-the-sky will not fly. Hucksters who use bogus documents to obtain anti-Obama publicity only undermine legitimate inquiries into Obama’s opaque past. We need to search for the truth and look for the facts.
6. Security
We will have adequate arrangements for security in case Obama’s desperate sycophants try to disrupt us again.
7. Media
Media are welcome, but we would suggest you let us know in advance. We will be providing twitter.com updates during the conference (twitter.com/AndyMartinUSA).
8. Visitors to New York City
Just a reminder: December 18-19 is a pre-holiday weekend in New York. If you plan to stay overnight, we suggest you make early plans. A good place to look for affordable lodging is Queens.

Dear Friends:
The “Second National Conference on Barack Obama’s Missing Birth Certificate and College Records” is taking shape. Here is our first update.
Because I have always limited myself to searching for the truth and finding the facts about Barack Obama, I enjoy worldwide credibility as the first investigative scholar on Barack Obama’s early years. I believe it is inappropriate to attack Obama with anything less than the facts and truth. My book on Barack Obama, “Obama: The Man Behind The Mask” continues to sell on Amazon.com and through the publisher OrangeStatePress.com because it is an attempt to get at the truth behind Barack Obama.
As all of you know, I am currently a Republican candidate for United States Senator in the February 2, 2010 Illinois primary. During the past several months I have devoted 100% of my time to the campaign. On December 28th we will be “full-time” on the campaign once again. But there is a brief period in mid-December when we can meet to discuss Obama developments.
I know that all of you want to discuss and review developments in 2009 concerning Obama’s birth and high school/college/law school records. So we are organizing a Second Conference for December 19-19 in New York City. Obama continues to refuse to release his original typewritten 1961 Hawai’i birth certificate. He refuses to release any of his Punahou School (Honolulu private school) records, his Occidental College records, his Columbia University records or his Harvard Law School records. Obama’s says “trust me;” do you?
1. Location
The conference will be held in New York City December 18-19. We plan a Friday evening session, 7-9:00 P.M. December 18th, and a Saturday morning afternoon session December 19th. The conference will be videotaped for broadcast on the Internet. We are scouting for a meeting location in midtown Manhattan.
Obama saboteurs stole the tapes of our first National Conference in Washington, DC. We will ensure they do not steal the tapes of this meeting. For some reason, Obama and his associates are terrified of the investigative work we do on his personal history. What is he hiding? What doesn’t he want us to find out?
2. Hawai’i freedom of information materials
We received a very generous grant to cover the costs of paying the State of Hawai’i for freedom-of-information materials. Unfortunately, those materials did not arrive in time for our first National Conference. We are reviewing the materials for our New York meeting.
3. Conference Registration fee and ID requirement
As always, we need some advance indication of how large the attending group could be to make space-planning decisions. Therefore, we have added a nominal $35 advance registration fee which covers both sessions. The door charge will be $50 to attend one or both meetings. Please fill out the attendance form and mail it back with the $35 to arrive in New York before December 16th. Please include a copy of a photo ID so we can confirm your identity when you arrive at the conference. (The late fee will be $50 cash only “at the door” with a photo ID.) Once we know how many to plan for, we can work out how formal or informal to be.
We are currently scouting midtown meeting options in Manhattan. We will notify you by e-mail as soon as we choose a location. You can also follow developments on our blog.
4. Conference agenda
In the near future you will be receiving the first draft of our proposed agenda. You are invited to begin submitting suggestions, comments and proposals for any future revisions.
We do have a big “surprise” planned for the conference, of course. That will be revealed at the Saturday morning session.
5. All are welcome—but please bring evidence, not illusions
Anyone is welcome to register and attend our conference. But please, if you want to express a theory, bring some rational, tangible evidence to support your claims about Mr. Obama. Those of you who know me know I am committed to working only with accurate information and, as we lawyers say, “reasonable inferences drawn from the available facts or available documentation.”
Pie-in-the-sky will not fly. Hucksters who use bogus documents to obtain anti-Obama publicity only undermine legitimate inquiries into Obama’s opaque past. We need to search for the truth and look for the facts.
6. Security
We will have adequate arrangements for security in case Obama’s desperate sycophants try to disrupt us again.
7. Media
Media are welcome, but we would suggest you let us know in advance. We will be providing twitter.com updates during the conference (twitter.com/AndyMartinUSA).
8. Visitors to New York City
Just a reminder: December 18-19 is a pre-holiday weekend in New York. If you plan to stay overnight, we suggest you make early plans. A good place to look for affordable lodging is Queens.
We will be issuing updates of this letter, so please feel free to make suggestions.
And please also remember we operate on a shoestring, so contribute any shoestrings you can afford. We are going to issue a separate fundraising letter.

“I am excited,” Martin will state. “Barack Obama has done everything he can to sabotage our film project, and to sabotage me personally. His dirty tricksters constantly harass me with illegal activity. He wasn’t able to stop me or my film.

“White House operative Robert Gibbs tried to smear me on Fox News. That backfired as well. On and on it goes.
“Why is Barack Obama obsessed with me? Because, unlike many of his critics, I have maintained a scrupulous commitment to searching for the truth and trying to find the facts about this elusive person. That’s why we went to Honolulu, and that’s probably why Obama followed me there.
“We originally planned to release the film last summer. But Obama’s harassment delayed production. Obama’s operatives have stolen some of the tapes we produced last April in Washington. We have filed suit to recover that property.
“We continue to search for the truth and seek to find the facts.
“Our first film is short, but it places Obama’s missing past in visual context.
“There are several critical points I would like to make today.
“First, Obama continues to refuse to release his original typewritten 1961 birth certificate. What is he trying to hide? The facsimile document that he released is missing significant data.
“Second, Obama claims he was born in a Honolulu hospital. That fact is also unproven. The hospital will not release its records.
Unlike some of Obama’s critics, who claim he was born in Kenya, I have found no evidence to sustain that claim. My expert opinion as an investigator and researcher is that Obama was born somewhere in Hawai’i.
“Third, when I speak as a candidate for the U. S. Senate, I am an opponent of Barack Obama’s political agenda. Indeed, I am Obama’s toughest adversary, running in the primary against Obama’s biggest Republican supporter, Mark Kirk. Mark Kirk's political agenda is Barack Obama's agenda.
“Fourth, when I speak as an author/investigator/artist, I speak to the truth, not to an agenda. I have been relentless in searching for the truth and working to find the facts about Obama. I have not massaged the facts of his life to fit my political agenda, and I do not cut my political agenda to conform to his past. The roles of political leader and author/producer are distinct, and I respect that distinction in my work.
“Fifth, when I work as a candidate/political opponent I do inject my views. As a writer/producer, I insert my artistic opinions and my creative analysis.
“Sixth, when we began pre-production earlier this year, Obama was at the peak of his power. It was difficult to obtain financial support. We produced this short feature on a budget. We simply did not have the resources necessary to do a complete treatment. In the film, we appeal for more money to continue our research.
“Now that Obama’s influence has begun to decline, people are renewing their interest in his unknown personal records and opaque family history. Once again, I have one-upped ‘Barry O.’ Because he delayed my project, Obama insured my film would arrive at a time when there is growing public interest in his peculiar biography. My new film is a first step in discovering Obama’s unknown past.
“Seventh, during the past several months, the Illinois process for ballot access, called ‘petitioning,’ virtually took over my life. Petitioning took precedence. Now that I am on the ballot, I have more control of my schedule. When my senate campaign schedule permits, we will again work in the courts to fight for access to Obama’s historical records as well as developing new projects.
“Eighth, Barack Obama would probably not satisfy all of his opponents and end speculation about his past if he released his original files to public scrutiny. But he could eliminate a lot of doubts about him which are held by honest and honorable Americans. That's why I call myself a ‘doubter,’ not a ‘birther.’
“The number of Americans who would like to know the truth about Obama’s past—to see his original birth certificate, his Punahou School records, his college and law school records--is growing.
The doubts which Obama creates with his secrecy will not go away with continued secrecy. They will only become more insistent, more acute and more disruptive for the Obama administration.
“Ninth, this film will disappoint some of Obama’s critics, because I acknowledge that he did in fact get more votes than the Republican, and the means by which this ‘president’ came into being reflects a fascinating story of unlikely people thrown together in an improbable story.
“We try to provide an opportunity for all points of view to be heard. As I immersed myself in Hawai’i history, I came to understand Obama better; I want people to feel we have been fair to Obama, even if he has not been fair to me. That’s the American way.
“Tenth, we plan to post the film in short segments on YouTube, with the same intro and a fund appeal, as well as offering a ‘paid’ version of the uncut production for $9.95.
