(CHICAGO)(June 13, 2009) Internet Powerhouse Andy Martin will continue "Kirk Week" as Martin maintains his U. S. Senate campaign in attack mode with a series of hard-hitting news conferences and commentaries on his potential opponent, Mark Kirk. Today, Saturday, June 13th Martin comments on a Kirk supporter who has threatened Martin with retaliation.
Unfortunately, the supporter does not respond either to the substance of Andy’s claims concerning Kirk’s stands on issues, or respond to the rumors that are circulating about Kirk’s personal life.
“This is a perfect case of ‘ostrichism,’” says Andy Martin. “I am sure Mark Kirk is a nice guy. I bear him no ill will. But Kirk’s ‘supporter’ who attacked me, a fact that was confirmed by a simple check of the supporter’s Facebook page (see below), shows a naiveté about Obama-era politics. The ‘angry supporter’ can’t win against the Democrats with a ‘candidate’ who is hiding his head in the sand; as a backer, he can’t hide his own head in the sand either.
“Mr. Kirk can’t even make up his mind about whether to become a candidate, 52 days before petition circulation starts. How is he going to be able to handle the run-and-gun of the Obama Smear Machine?
“Saturday morning Kirk will be doing coffee and donuts:
This Saturday is our meeting with Cong. Mark Kirk here at HQ, 909 E. Rand Road, Arlington Heights (southeast of Palatine Road, northwest of Dryden in the Centrum Building across from Blockbuster)………………Come on time at 8:30 a.m.; we'll have coffee, juice and breakfast baked goods available to you, as usual, and Mark has a full schedule, so it's especially vital that we fill the room as close to 8:30 as possible.
“In the meantime, Kirk’s statewide ‘campaign’ is becalmed. Is that the way a candidate for U. S. Senator behaves? I don’t think many experienced statewide consultants would say that leaving matters to the last minute reflects a very strong urge to become a candidate.
“As for Kirk’s supporter who threatened me, I won’t release his name (unless you send me an e-mail and ask for it), but you can find him on Facebook. Look at the bottom of his page, where he is listed as a supporter of ‘Kirk for Senate,’ and the ‘Illinois McKennacrat Party,’ and lists Andy McKenna as a ‘Facebook friend:’

“Now if only this angry gentleman had an actual candidate for U. S. Senator, he would not have to send Pecksniffian e-mails to the real candidates in the race.
“Finally, although Mr. Kirk’s supporter was angry and threatening, I did not respond in kind, and I will not respond in kind. Mr. Kirk is a really nice man. I just do not believe he has the ‘fire in the belly’ to run for the U. S. Senate.
“I promised to be polite to Mr. Kirk’s supporter if he called me, and I will be polite to any Republican that wants to call to agree, or disagree, with me. Just pick up the phone and say hello. Hey, I’m a nice guy too. Only I have personal experience with Obama’s Smearmacht, and I am prepared to give as good as I get.
