(CHICAGO)(February, 2010) Republican U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin will hold a Chicago news conference Thursday, February 4th to announce he will not support, and will work to defeat, Mark Kirk for U. S. Senator.
"Mark Kirk is a fundamentally immoral individual,” Martin will charge. "He worked to cover-up pedophilia in the U. S House of Representatives and tried to get pedophile Mark Foley to run for reelection. I find Kirk’s behavior sickening.
“Kirk shamelessly lies about and inflates his military record. Kirk’s military falsifications and exaggerations were an issue late in the primary. My advertising attacking Kirk’s abuse of the U.S. Navy uniform was later picked up by a reporter.
“I will continue my Freedom of Information activity to seek the release of Kirk’s hidden military files. There is nothing more despicable than a fraud such as Kirk who seeks to falsify his military service and ‘rip off’ the valor of our men and women in uniform. Kirk is a sick, sick man.
“Kirk should be criminally prosecuted for his military abuses and falsifications.
“The slimy Illinois news media have been Kirk’s accomplices in spreading Kirk’s bogus military claims. In one utterly absurd example in January, Kirk issued a false press releases to the Associated Press, when then uncritically reported Kirk’s lies. Kirk then printed the AP’s lies on his own campaign literature, in effect laundering his lies through the Associated Press. This is journalism? I have posted the U. S. Navy’s response to my earlier FOIA request, in which the Navy could find no records to confirm Kirk’s claim that he ‘served’ in Kandahar, Afghanistan in 2008. [See www.markKirk.us]
“In reality and practicality Kirk has been a visiting congressman who tried to collect a second salary by falsely claiming he was doing ‘double duty.’
“In endorsing Mark Kirk, left-wing Sun-Times columnist Neil Steinberg called Kirk a ‘new Dick Durbin’ and Richard Daley’s favorite Republican. Is this what Republicans really want? Another Durbin? A Daley Republican? Is Kirk part of the corrupt bipartisan Combine, or what?
“Finally, Kirk bribed the Republican Party with $50,000 in cash to rig the primary in his favor. The ‘election’ was a travesty. Cash-and-carry democracy is not democracy at all. It is Washington Beltway corruption and control of our local electoral process. Kirk used the Republican Party’s apparatus as his own campaign machinery. When a primary is rigged, the candidates that emerge from that process are not entitled to party loyalty.

To all of you who voted for me, supported me and encouraged me in the primary I am deeply appreciative. Thank you.
You are probably wondering what happened in the election yesterday. The usual blather from the liberal media conceals, not reveals, the truth. I was the big winner. The corrupt bipartisan “Combine” and the so-called “conservative” wing of the Republican Party were both big losers. Surprised at my conclusions? Let me explain. After a little reflection I think you’ll agree with my analysis.
First, let me take you behind the scenes of my own campaign.
I. Andy’s team prepares to run a primary campaign
The biggest problem we faced during the campaign was a corrupt Republican Party leadership that was trying to rig the primary for Mark Kirk. Beginning on August 20th the resident thug Randy Pollard refused to let me speak at Republican Day in Springfield. The adulterous “legal counsel” of the party, Brian Sheahan, tried to harass me at the State Fair. On and on it went. A circuit judge had to order them to stop harassing me.
In preparing an advertising campaign, we faced a major problem. Because of the large number of anti-Kirk candidates (5), we felt that any ads we ran could help the other candidates as much as my ads helped me. I don’t know if Kirk “salted” candidates in the primary to split up the opposing vote but it sure looks that way. But even if all of the other four candidates were genuine, they were dividing the Kirk opposition vote five ways. Not good for me.
Finally, in mid-December we reached the moment of truth. If we ran no ads, or only generic ads, their impact would be limited. If we ran hard-hitting ads, they might damage Kirk but benefit all of his opponents.
Negative ads work best in a two-person race. If you hammer your opponent successfully, voters switch to you because there is nowhere else to go. If you hammer one of five candidates, people may decide to vote against the target candidate but then support one of the other opponents. We took the risk of running hard-hitting ads because only aggressive anti-Kirk ads could break through the media fog of unabashed support for the Kirkster. In other words, we ran hard-hitting ads because practically speaking we had no other option but to take the risk of helping Kirk’s other opponents as well.
II. Andy’s ads start hitting Kirk with the truth
On December 28th we began bombarding Kirk with the truth. Pat Brady immediately tried to smear me. As he did through the campaign, Brady was actually working against Kirk’s interests. During the next month we exposed Kirk as both a personal and political fraud. Kirk did nothing while a pedophile, Mark Foley, roamed the House of Representatives importuning the children who work there as pages. Kirk was part of the pedophilia cover-up.
Kirk shamelessly inflates his military credentials. We exposed his fraudulent military claims. Each of my commercials was meticulously documented. We exploded the false image of Kirk that the media were feeding Republican voters.
Unfortunately for me, the attacks on Kirk also energized his other opponents to think they had a chance of winning the primary. One candidate attacked my ads publicly and then used Paul Caprio to distribute the same material privately. My ads took Kirk down from what might have been a blowout victory and dropped him into an embarrassing situation where almost half of the Republican Party’s primary base voted against him.
III. Is Kirk really a winner?
Half the primary electorate voted against Kirk despite media claims that his opponents lacked the resources to run an effective campaign. So, if your five opponents lack any money, and only one of them runs broadcast ads on a limited basis (me,) and the rest run no ads or virtually no ads (Hughes) how can that farcical imbalance be deemed an electoral victory?
“Winners” emerge from real contests, not from lopsided and rigged campaigns where everything is fixed in advance and half the voters still reject the favorite. Kirk was a big loser on February 2d. Don’t believe the media and the Pat Brady-inspired lies to the contrary.
IV. Republicans saw a similar situation in the gubernatorial primary
The same thing that happened to me, where my advertising either benefited or encouraged other candidates, also happened in the Republican gubernatorial primary. Senator Bill Brady lacked the money to run ads in the Chicago TV market. In the closing days of the primary, Andy McKenna began to run ads attacking Kirk Dillard for his 2008 support of Barack Obama.
Although McKenna was trying to knock off Dillard so McKenna himself would win, McKenna was not strong enough to reach the top. Instead, McKenna’s attacks on Dillard appear to have had the unintended consequence of nominating Bill Brady.
That’s what happens when you run attack ads in a multi-primary candidate. Your ads could end up benefiting someone other than yourself. In the governor’s race, it is clear that McKenna’s attacks were the little extra needed to cut down Dillard so Brady could eke out a victory. I am sure that is not the outcome McKenna wanted.
V. So-called “pro-family” conservatives became a laughingstock
Patrick Hughes hired Paul Caprio to “bag” endorsements for his flatulent senatorial candidacy. Caprio created the bogus “STOP” campaign as a fig leaf to promote Hughes. Christian conservatives were invited in August to attend a “screening” meeting that Caprio had rigged in advance in favor of Hughes. From the first day he announced, when he claimed he had $400,000 in "commitments,” Pat Hughes was a liar and a loser.
In the closing days of the primary Hughes was shoveling conservative “endorsements” out the door. Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, Conservative “this” and Conservative “that.” In the end he had a long list of “endorsements” but none of them actually campaigned for him. On Election Day he could not break 20%. Hughes will go down in history as the man that blew a half million dollars without ever running a single broadcast ad. But his chauffeur was paid $10,000.
Now Hughes is supporting “party unity” and, no surprise, Paul Caprio has his palm out to be greased again. And they call themselves Christians. The “pro-family” movement was exposed as a bunch of incompetent, conspiratorial blowhards. Jack Roeser, who funds almost all of these weenies, lost three out of four campaigns and attacked the only genuine conservative who ran an honest campaign (me). Roeser is another imperious joker.
VI. Where do I go from here?
I will be taking time off and going on vacation. Lots of things get put on hold when you become involved in a statewide race.
I was interviewed in December by NBC News for a special program to air on MSNBC in March. I still can’t tell you what the program is about, because they were never clear, but no doubt I will continue to be a national figure in the anti-Obama movement.
I have blocked out ten days in April to return to Hawai’i to do continuing research on Barack Obama’s origins. I don’t yet know if the sponsorship for the trip will be available.
Locally, before I leave I plan to announce an anti-Mark Kirk effort. Kirk and his supporter Pat Brady ran a dirty campaign and they will not receive my support. I urged Brady to stop the dirty tricks, so the party could unite after the primary. Brady refused. The party will not unite. By comparison, the Democrats that voted for various U. S. Senate candidates will all support the winner.
In the Republican Party, the Republicans who voted against Kirk in the primary will not support him in the general election. Had Brady run a fair and honest primary, I was prepared to support the winner of the primary, as I have in the past. But because Brady is just as crooked as the rest of the sleazy people in the Republican Party’s leadership, Brady has forfeited party unity.
Summing up, the bipartisan “Combine” of corruption was a big loser. The candidates closest to the Combine did not win yesterday. And instead of having a gubernatorial winner, Republicans temporarily have two “winners” who are going to have to fight it out until one of them is acknowledged as the undisputed nominee. Not good. No one has and idea how long that could go on.
In the senate race, because Pat Brady ran a dirty campaign and poisoned the process, he has a candidate, Kirk, who is popular with the media but who was rejected by almost half of the Republican base. To me, that rejection is not a good sign. Kirk may have drawn Quislings like Pat Hughes and John Arrington to his “unity” breakfast on Wednesday, but neither of them has much to offer a statewide campaign. There is no unity when half the candidates refuse to appear with the “winner.” As Kirk’s homosexual Praetorian Guard takes working control of the Republican Party the “rumors” about Kirk will become shriller and more insistent.
As for me, with the limited resources available to my campaign we did a good job of telling the truth about Mark Kirk and stopping the media from completely stealing the senate primary. I feel good about my efforts. That’s why I believe I am a big winner. I live to fight another day for truth, justice and the American way.

Dear Republican:
Now it’s up to you. Please vote. We need every vote. We need the votes of your family and friends. Just two years ago in the U. S. Senate primary I received nearly a quarter of a million votes (240,548). That was a presidential year when turnouts are traditionally higher. But if we could get everyone who voted for me in 2008 to vote for me in 2010, we could win the U. S. Senate nomination and change the politics of this state.
Monday we completed a 700-mile trip across the State of Illinois. We met with both media and ordinary citizens. The response from local Republicans was always enthusiastic.
All of the Republican senate candidates have adopted roughly similar platforms. All of them claim to oppose gun control. All of them claim to oppose abortion. One candidate calls himself as “Reagan conservative.” Puuuulease. All of us are Reagan conservatives. No candidate has a monopoly on President Reagan.
So why vote for me?
In one word: passion.
As campaigns wear on, candidate stock speeches often get stale. But I don’t have a stock speech. Every speech I give every day is new, fresh, original.
My opponents look at politics as a vocation, a business, a profit-making venture. I consider the opportunity for public service a call to arms, a call to action, a call to passion.
Ever since I began fighting local corruption as a young law student at the University of Illinois, my passion for corruption-fighting and for public integrity has distinguished me from my competitors. Over forty years ago a background check found that I was a leading conservative and a staunch opponent of the New Left. No other "conservative" Republican has my forty-year record to offer you as a starting point for service in the U. S. Senate.
Most candidates go through the motions with little emotional investment in the outcome. Voters want “jobs?” They discuss jobs. They deliver what the public appears to want. They use polls to test their responses.
I don’t need a poll to tell me our nation is under attack; our values, our way of life, our economic system are under attack from Democrats in Washington and Springfield. I see Illinois cities hurting. I see politicians profiting while the people are impoverished. I see Illinois futures dying and children leaving.
I promise you a passionate defense of American values. I promise you a passionate attack on the economic problems that confront Illinois. My plan to use high-speed passenger rail development to jump start economic development is a commitment I believe in.

We went to the Governor’s office to protest cuts in Highway 51. I proposed we create a new Interstate highway. My efforts culminated in the construction of Interstate 39.
Yesterday I drove on I-39. My concept had been turned into concrete. My dreams had been realized. I saw an incredible stream of trucks carrying commerce across the state. How would we have accomplished the same goals if the opponents of I-39 had succeeded? My passion carried the day. Today the highway I helped create delivers the goods.
Now I have to ask for some of your passion. The forces of corruption and inertia are in control of both political parties. Politicians become more and more powerful as our state teeters on the brink of bankruptcy. I need your passion, your commitment, your energy to vote for me.
Please vote for real change, not hollow promises. Please vote for a proven champion who has delivered real results. Please vote for the future of today’s children and grandchildren. We cannot fail. We cannot tire. We must succeed to save Illinois from the forces of corruption and calamity.

Dear Republican:
Now it’s up to you. Please vote. We need every vote. We need the votes of your family and friends. Just two years ago in the U. S. Senate primary I received nearly a quarter of a million votes (240,548). That was a presidential year when turnouts are traditionally higher. But if we could get everyone who voted for me in 2008 to vote for me in 2010, we could win the U. S. Senate nomination and change the politics of this state.
Monday we completed a 700-mile trip across the State of Illinois. We met with both media and ordinary citizens. The response from local Republicans was always enthusiastic.
All of the Republican senate candidates have adopted roughly similar platforms. All of them claim to oppose gun control. All of them claim to oppose abortion. One candidate calls himself as “Reagan conservative.” Puuuulease. All of us are Reagan conservatives. No candidate has a monopoly on President Reagan.
So why vote for me?
In one word: passion.
As campaigns wear on, candidate stock speeches often get stale. But I don’t have a stock speech. Every speech I give every day is new, fresh, original.
My opponents look at politics as a vocation, a business, a profit-making venture. I consider the opportunity for public service a call to arms, a call to action, a call to passion.
Ever since I began fighting local corruption as a young law student at the University of Illinois, my passion for corruption-fighting and for public integrity has distinguished me from my competitors. Over forty years ago a background check found that I was a leading conservative and a staunch opponent of the New Left. No other "conservative" Republican has my forty-year record to offer you as a starting point for service in the U. S. Senate.
Most candidates go through the motions with little emotional investment in the outcome. Voters want “jobs?” They discuss jobs. They deliver what the public appears to want. They use polls to test their responses.
I don’t need a poll to tell me our nation is under attack; our values, our way of life, our economic system are under attack from Democrats in Washington and Springfield. I see Illinois cities hurting. I see politicians profiting while the people are impoverished. I see Illinois futures dying and children leaving.
I promise you a passionate defense of American values. I promise you a passionate attack on the economic problems that confront Illinois. My plan to use high-speed passenger rail development to jump start economic development is a commitment I believe in.

Martin says that Boone-Winnebago-Stephenson leaders have failed abysmally.
At his news conference Martin will brandish “studies” from as long as ten years ago to show the complete impotence of local representatives of both parties to move forward with rail service.
“Boone-Winnebago-Stephenson Counties have lacked an effective voice in the U. S. Senate. Dick Durbin has proven to be totally ineffective, even with his pet rock in the White House,” Martin says. “Pat Quinn? Don’t ask. If I had been in Washington the Boone-Winnebago-Stephenson area would not have been shut out of stimulus funding and high-speed rail cash. No one is going to run over me.
“I favor a ‘Manhattan Project’-style simultaneous design and build high-speed rail program to get America moving and get Illinois ‘on the right track, not the side track.’ Trains in staid Great Britain already go 200 miles an hour. Why should Americans be satisfied with less than half that, a decade from now?
“Governor Quinn’s face-saving promise Saturday to deliver Illinois capital funds for rail service is only a desperate, last-minute pre-primary device to stave off the embarrassment of having failed to deliver for Illinois.
“I believe that high-speed rail can only come through Belvidere to Rockford and Freeport. We want to connect an existing corridor of economic activity that can benefit from high-speed connections to the O’Hare and Chicago economies. We need to integrate Rockford Airport into the Chicago regional economy. What is in Genoa?
“Three decades ago I spearheaded the effort to upgrade Highway 51 into an Interstate highway. I have proven I can produce results. Illinois is falling further and behind other states. Senate candidate and insurgent “Internet Powerhouse” Andy Martin will hold a Chicago news conference Saturday, January 30th to ridicule Patrick Hughes’ latest request that other candidates withdraw in favor of Hughes. Martin will counter that Hughes has run a “disgraceful and dishonorable” campaign and should himself withdraw.
“From the first day Hughes announced, Patrick Hughes has been lying, dissembling, misrepresenting and exaggerating his resources to Illinois Republicans,” Martin will state. “Having offered Illinoisans and campaign contributors a pack of lies, it is Mr. Hughes himself who should withdraw.
“His campaign has now run out of cash without ever running any broadcast advertising.
“On August 20th when he announced as a candidate, Hughes said he had ‘commitments’ of $400,000. He never even raised a large fraction of that amount. At the gitgo, Hughes was lying. There were no ‘commitments.’
“Hughes spent six months exaggerating, and running a grossly incompetent campaign. Hughes had no money for broadcast advertising but found $10,000 in campaign cash for a personal chauffer:

“Hughes was the ‘imperial’ candidate, driving around the state with his chauffer while being unable to raise funds or rouse supporters.
“Hughes said Mike Ditka was on his Finance Committee. Ditka never served on any such committee. Hughes did manage to extort a lukewarm ‘endorsement’ out of Ditka after Ditka was embarrassed by his own confusion and malapropism.
“During the past few days, Hughes has cemented his status as one of the most dishonest candidates in Illinois political history. He falsely claimed that some Republican Party officials had endorsed him. They denied Hughes’ claim:

“Throughout Hughes six-month charade, so-called ‘pro-family’ poseurs have encouraged and endorsed Hughes after every embarrassment and disaster. But these so-called leaders never generated any significant financial support for Hughes.
“Hughes has been a world-class namedropper. He shamelessly drops the names of State House Republican leader Tom Cross and State Senator Kirk Dillard. He claimed that Richard Perle was his ‘adviser’ but Perle never appeared anywhere to confirm that fact. He claimed to have the endorsement of talk show hosts, but in one case that endorsement (Mark Levin) disappeared from the radio host’s web site. None of these people hosted a fundraiser or did anything commensurate with Hughes claims of ‘support and endorsement.’ The only person Hughes has not claimed an endorsement from Lady Gaga.
“Sadly, Hughes proved himself to be a complete chumbolone. Everyone took him to the cleaners. He hired a $10,000 ‘chauffer.’ He paid out tens of thousands of dollars in staff salaries. But he never aired a single broadcast ad. Instead, he ran a handful of cable TV advertisements as a face-saving gesture.
“Hughes promised Jack Roeser he would dump Paul Caprio, but failed to do so. Caprio collected another check from Hughes in the recent financial forms. Roeser’s own mascots, John Biver and Doug Ibendahl, have shamelessly promoted Hughes. For what?
“Illinois Review? The ‘Crossroads of the Chumbolone Community?’ The IR weenies have been in overdrive over Hughes.
“I am the only candidate who can stand up to Barack Obama. I am the only candidate who has stood up to the crooked Republican Party leadership in Illinois and exposed Mark Kirk as a military masquerader and worse.
“Unlike Hughes, who has been badgering his opponents to withdraw for months, with a conspicuous lack of success, I would never ask another candidate to withdraw.
“When this primary is over, the false prophets of the so-called pro-family movement need to do some deep soul-searching about their misguided role in the primary. They met in secret last summer to endorse Hughes, after cash changed hands. They took their Thirty Pieces of Silver and delivered their endorsements. Phyllis Schlafly did not even know she had endorsed Hughes, raising a cloud over her own mental competence to be a leader of Illinois voters from a residence in Missouri. As leaders of many of the pro-family groups in this state, we want to thank you for your willingness to put your personal life on hold in order to run for Senate. We know it is a sacrifice and we are grateful to you for that.
We have a common purpose. We all love our country and our state and are concerned about the moral and fiscal chaos we’ve seen at home and in the nation’s capitol. We are certain your motivation to get in this race was to change that.
But we ask you now to consider doing something difficult in the best interest of the state and the nation. Patrick Hughes is the only conservative candidate who has enough support to beat the very liberal and well-funded Mark Kirk. Even if we can unite conservative voters in the state, it will still be an uphill battle. But it is certain that Mark Kirk will prevail if all current candidates remain in the race.
We implore you to drop out of the race and throw your support behind Patrick Hughes as soon as possible. We are asking Kathleen Thomas, Judge Don Lowery and John Arrington to do the same. As it stands now, we will be doomed to yet another Democratic victory in the fall if we don’t have a strong conservative candidate to face them in November. Voters will stay home if Mark Kirk wins.

Senate candidate and insurgent “Internet Powerhouse” Andy Martin will hold a Chicago news conference Saturday, January 30th to ridicule Patrick Hughes’ latest request that other candidates withdraw in favor of Hughes. Martin will counter that Hughes has run a “disgraceful and dishonorable” campaign and should himself withdraw.
“From the first day Hughes announced, Patrick Hughes has been lying, dissembling, misrepresenting and exaggerating his resources to Illinois Republicans,” Martin will state. “Having offered Illinoisans and campaign contributors a pack of lies, it is Mr. Hughes himself who should withdraw.
“His campaign has now run out of cash without ever running any broadcast advertising.
“On August 20th when he announced as a candidate, Hughes said he had ‘commitments’ of $400,000. He never even raised a large fraction of that amount. At the gitgo, Hughes was lying. There were no ‘commitments.’
“Hughes spent six months exaggerating, and running a grossly incompetent campaign. Hughes had no money for broadcast advertising but found $10,000 in campaign cash for a personal chauffer:

“Hughes was the ‘imperial’ candidate, driving around the state with his chauffer while being unable to raise funds or rouse supporters.
“Hughes said Mike Ditka was on his Finance Committee. Ditka never served on any such committee. Hughes did manage to extort a lukewarm ‘endorsement’ out of Ditka after Ditka was embarrassed by his own confusion and malapropism.
“During the past few days, Hughes has cemented his status as one of the most dishonest candidates in Illinois political history. He falsely claimed that some Republican Party officials had endorsed him. They denied Hughes’ claim:

“Throughout Hughes six-month charade, so-called ‘pro-family’ poseurs have encouraged and endorsed Hughes after every embarrassment and disaster. But these so-called leaders never generated any significant financial support for Hughes.
“Hughes has been a world-class namedropper. He shamelessly drops the names of State House Republican leader Tom Cross and State Senator Kirk Dillard. He claimed that Richard Perle was his ‘adviser’ but Perle never appeared anywhere to confirm that fact. He claimed to have the endorsement of talk show hosts, but in one case that endorsement (Mark Levin) disappeared from the radio host’s web site. None of these people hosted a fundraiser or did anything commensurate with Hughes claims of ‘support and endorsement.’ The only person Hughes has not claimed an endorsement from Lady Gaga.
“Sadly, Hughes proved himself to be a complete chumbolone. Everyone took him to the cleaners. He hired a $10,000 ‘chauffer.’ He paid out tens of thousands of dollars in staff salaries. But he never aired a single broadcast ad. Instead, he ran a handful of cable TV advertisements as a face-saving gesture.
“Hughes promised Jack Roeser he would dump Paul Caprio, but failed to do so. Caprio collected another check from Hughes in the recent financial forms. Roeser’s own mascots, John Biver and Doug Ibendahl, have shamelessly promoted Hughes. For what?
“Illinois Review? The ‘Crossroads of the Chumbolone Community?’ The IR weenies have been in overdrive over Hughes.
“I am the only candidate who can stand up to Barack Obama. I am the only candidate who has stood up to the crooked Republican Party leadership in Illinois and exposed Mark Kirk as a military masquerader and worse.
“Unlike Hughes, who has been badgering his opponents to withdraw for months, with a conspicuous lack of success, I would never ask another candidate to withdraw.
“When this primary is over, the false prophets of the so-called pro-family movement need to do some deep soul-searching about their misguided role in the primary. They met in secret last summer to endorse Hughes, after cash changed hands. They took their Thirty Pieces of Silver and delivered their endorsements. Phyllis Schlafly did not even know she had endorsed Hughes, raising a cloud over her own mental competence to be a leader of Illinois voters from a residence in Missouri. I could go on, but you get the point.

“Barack Obama has the worst judgment of any president in history,” Martin says. “He has staffed his administration with sexual predators such as Kevin Jennings and Peter Orszag.
“What Mr. Jennings does in the privacy of his own home, or other private facilities, is Jennings’ private business. Period. I respect and defend the right to privacy. Consenting adults should be left alone.
“But when Obama appoints a predator such as Jennings to act as a fiduciary for school children, that is a perversion of the public trust.
“Everyone has a right to privacy, no one has a right to claim public employment and advocate policies that endanger children,” Martin states. I will strive to defund his office and eliminate Jennings’ government job.”

“What Mr. Jennings does in the privacy of his own home, or other private facilities, is Jennings’ private business. Period. I respect and defend the right to privacy. Consenting adults should be left alone.
“But when Obama appoints a predator such as Jennings to act as a fiduciary for school children, that is a perversion of the public trust.
“Everyone has a right to privacy, no one has a right to claim public employment and advocate policies that endanger children,” Martin states. I will strive to defund his office and eliminate Jennings’ government job.”

Senate candidate and insurgent "Internet Powerhouse" Andy Martin will hold a Chicago news conference Monday, January 18th to drop a “Bunker Buster” on Patrick Hughes. “I hear complaints that I only drop Bunker Busters on Mark Kirk. Well, we do not discriminate. We go where the evidence takes us. Mr. Hughes is next. Stay tuned for details.”
Friday evening Martin delivered stirring patriotic remarks at the Winnebago County Republican Party Lincoln Day Dinner.
“The program did not call for speeches,” Martin says. “I was caught completely by surprise when I was asked to be the first speaker at the Lincoln Day Dinner. And so I spoke from the heart. I spoke of ‘following our flag’ around the world, of my memories of brave young men and women in uniform who stand guard for us.
“I spoke of seeing our flag when I lived in Iraq (2003), and when I was in Asia (1967-1971), and Southwest Asia (1979-80). I spoke of my enduring love for the proud young Americans whose lives are engraved on my memory.
“Unlike Mark Kirk, who is a military imposter with an imaginary record of ‘fighting’ in wars where he was never in harm’s way, I have never been on active military duty. But I have been in combat. I have seen men die. Unlike Mr. Kirk, who was never at risk, except in his own vivid imagination, I have dodged bullets, mortars, rockets and more.
“But I have never confused my efforts to get at the truth or to serve my country with the work being done by the American men and women who were doing the fighting. The ones who ‘humped’ the weapons across rice paddies and deserts. The ones who did the real fighting. I am no hero. But I know who our real heroes are. And Mark Kirk is not one of them,” Martin says.
“Mark Kirk ‘dodged fire’ the same way Hillary Clinton ‘came under fire’ in Bosnia. Mark Kirk is as much of a ‘fighter’ as Clinton.
“I have challenged Kirk to release all of his military records since becoming a congressman. He has refused to do so. I have offered media a FOIA release for any of the government’s files on me, some of which may not yet have been declassified. I have no secrets to hide. Kirk does.”
“Mark Kirk does hold a reserve commission. But he uses that commission as a political prop, not as part of genuine service to our nation. Let’s see your military records, Mark. I have opened my files. Why won’t you open yours? What are you hiding?”
While Martin is holding a Bunker Buster news conference on Patrick Hughes, Martin’s “Bunker Buster” advertising challenging Kirk’s misleading and exaggerated military claims also begins airing statewide on the 18th. (CHICAGO)(January 15, 2010) Republican U. S. Senate candidate and insurgent “Internet Powerhouse” Andy Martin will hold a Chicago news conference Friday, January 15th to release his new statewide “Bunker Buster” advertising campaign charging that Mark Kirk appears to have falsified and inflated his military service.
Martin promised to drop a “Bunker Buster” on Kirk at the WLS-TV senate candidates’ debate Thursday evening, and closed by announcing that he had received a letter from the U. S. Navy stating the Navy has no records to document Kirk’s presence in Afghanistan in 2008. Martin released copies of the Navy letter at a post-debate news availability.
Martin compares Kirk to the notorious Wisconsin political fraud U. S. Senator Joe McCarthy, who falsely portrayed himself as “Tail Gunner Joe” to win election. McCarthy had no military record to speak of, and was never a “tail gunner.” McCarthy went on to become notorious for red-baiting and other activity, and gave the name “McCarthyism” to the term.
“Mark Kirk seems to be the latest in a long line of military frauds, the most notorious of which was ‘Tail Gunner Joe,’ Senator Joe McCarthy who terrorized the senate in the 1950’s,” Martin will charge. “The U. S. Navy has no record of Kirk’s ‘deployment’ to Kandahar. I asked Mark Kirk to authorize the release of his military records, and he has refused. It is time for Kirk to release and authorize the Department of Defense to release all military files and records since Kirk became a congressman.
“Kirk appears to be engaging in ‘double-dipping’ payroll fraud. He goes overseas, where he is treated like and acts like a congressman, meeting with senior officials, all while collecting a second paycheck for a ‘deployment’ that is a ‘deployment’ in name only. Kirk times his military excursions to benefit his political campaigns,” Martin charges, “and collects two paychecks for one job. What a Washington beltway fraud. No true Republican and no veteran can vote for a huckster and masquerader like Kirk.”
Martin plans to keep hacking away at Kirk’s endless series of lies, prevarications and exaggerations about Kirk’s personal and military history. The Bunker Buster assembly line remains open.
Martin’s advertising attacks the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times for parroting Kirk’s military propaganda and failing to see actual documentation for Kirk’s service activity.

Senate candidate and insurgent “Internet Powerhouse” Andy Martin will hold a Chicago news conference Monday, January 18th to claim that Patrick Hughes is a “closeted Mr. Mom who masquerades as a ‘home builder’ and ‘developer’ but is really a stay-at-home dad who lives off the earnings of his wife.”
Martin charges that the Chicago Tribune is concealing embarrassing news about Hughes because Hughes’ wife is a partner in the law firm which represents the tribune.
Martin says that his disclosure in a Channel 7 televised debate Thursday that Hughes’ contributors were withdrawing support has caused a cascade of withdrawals of support and collapse of the Hughes campaign.
Martin says Hughes is increasingly making a “laughingstock” of the “conservatives” who supported him. “They bought a pig in a poke,” Andy says. “Paul Caprio has pulled off the biggest political scam in history, and made conservatives look like jerks. Jack Roeser has been taken to the cleaners by John Biver and Doug Ibendahl. Heads will roll.
“Pat Hughes claims in campaign forums and claimed on WLS-TV’s televised debate that he is a ‘home builder’ and ‘developer.’ My campaign has done a diligent search of records. We cannot find any ‘homes’ that Hughes is ‘building.’ We cannot find any land that Hughes is ‘developing.’ All we can find based on our investigative methods is that Hughes is a stay-at-home dad who is supported by the earnings of his wife.
“Now there is nothing wrong with being a Mr. Mom. And if Hughes was honest about his lack of employment, and stopped lying abut ‘home building’ and ‘developments,’ I would be the first to congratulate him as Mr. Mom. But just as I have exposed Mark Kirk’s hypocrisy, I now expose Pat Hughes hypocrisy as well. Both are hollow men with paper maché public lives.
“I challenge Mr. Hughes to disclose the locations of any ‘homes’ he is ‘building.’ I challenge him to disclose the locations of his current ‘developments.’ I challenge Mr. Hughes’ ‘conservative’ backers to demand the same evidence. I challenge the media to do likewise. The only development Hughes has been identified with is the Ocean Atlantic fiasco that has defaulted on its performance bonds.

Andy Martin says attempts to smear Scott Brown as a “birther” are despicable distortions
Martin confirms Barack Obama was illegitimate under Hawai’i law.

(CHICAGO)(January 17, 2010) Republican U. S. Senate candidate and insurgent "Internet Powerhouse" Andy Martin has unexpectedly become a small factor in the hotly contested U.S. Senate race in Massachusetts.
Martin has been contacted by national media seeking clarification concerning a statement by Republican Scott Brown concerning Barack Obama’s parents’ marriage.
“The attempts to smear Scott Brown as a ‘birther’ are nothing but a liberal media fraud. The term ‘birther” was invented by the media to describe individuals who believe Barack Obama was not born in the United States. Neither I nor Brown fall into that category.
“I have consistently taken the view that Obama was born in Hawai’i as he says. Neither I nor Brown are ‘birthers.’ Neither of us believes Obama was born anywhere but Hawai’i,” Martin says. “Obama was born in Hawai’i.”
“But, the issue of whether Obama was legitimate, and whether his parents were legally married, is an entirely different matter.
“Under United States law, in 1961 we followed British law in recognizing non-US marriages (we still do). Under British law, Barack Obama senior was legally married in Kenya. Liberal media have tried to adopt the racist view that ‘tribal marriages’ were not legal. But under British colonial law, the marriage of Barack (Sr.) and Kezia Obama was 100% legal under British law.
“The argument that Barack Onyango Obama, President Obama's grandfather, would have allowed his son Barack senior to engage in an illegal marriage in Kenya is sheer nonsense. The Kenyan marriage was 100% legal. Period. I do not think you could find anyone in Kenya who would argue otherwise. Because the Obama marriage in Kenya was legal under British law, President Obama’s father’s purported marriage in Hawai’i was bigamous and therefore null and void under Hawai’i law.
“Hawai’i law is very clear on that fact. Tagupa v. Tagupa, 121 P.3rd 924 (Hawai’i App. 2005).
“No competent attorney who is familiar with marriage law could argue to the contrary. Barack senior was legally married under British-Kenyan law, with a family. He came to Hawai’i while legally married. He purported to marry a second time.
“The Obama ‘marriage’ in Hawai’i was bigamous and therefore null and void. When Barack was born, he was born in Hawai’i, but his birth was illegitimate.
“Obama’s sense of shame that he was illegitimate may explain his reluctance to release his original, typewritten 1961 birth certificate,” Martin says.
“I do not think the term ‘illegitimate’ is used generally any more,” Martin concludes. “But in Obama's case the term still applies. Unlike a child born of two unmarried parents, who can now be called a ‘nonmarital’ child, Barack Obama was born of a void marriage, due to the prior valid marriage of his father.
“So the Obama ‘marriage in Hawai’i enjoyed no legitimacy under either American or Kenyan law. President Obama could not, for example, have inherited from his father had the father left an estate when he died.
“Both Barack Obama and I know the truth. That's why he constantly has his smear artists attacking me and trying to stop me from becoming the Republican Party candidate for U. S. Senator in Illinois.
“Obama’s latest attempt to smear Scott Brown with lies is despicable. Why won’t Barack Obama just admit the truth to the American people and be done with it? Obama’s ego is so colossal and his arrogance is so all-encompassing that he is mentally incapable of admitting to the American people the true facts concerning his birth: born in Hawai’i, to parents who could not be legally married because his father was already legally married and therefore a bigamist.
“Americans would feel a whole lot better about Barack Obama if he stopped lying to us and just faced the truth. The truth may be painful for Obama to acknowledge. But the truth is the truth. Obama should stop smearing people who tell the truth about his unfortunate legal situation when he was born. Obama himself did nothing wrong; it was his putative parents who broke the law. Still, the fact that he was the product of an illegal and void marriage under Hawai’i law is a legal fact that he cannot deny or conceal.
“Scott Brown was absolutely correct to express his concerns. Maybe he had read my book, ‘Obama: The Man behind The Mask.’”

Andy Martin says attempts to smear Scott Brown as a “birther” are despicable distortions
Martin confirms Barack Obama was illegitimate under Hawai’i law.

(CHICAGO)(January 17, 2010) Republican U. S. Senate candidate and insurgent "Internet Powerhouse" Andy Martin has unexpectedly become a small factor in the hotly contested U.S. Senate race in Massachusetts.
Martin has been contacted by national media seeking clarification concerning a statement by Republican Scott Brown concerning Barack Obama’s parents’ marriage.
“The attempts to smear Scott Brown as a ‘birther’ are nothing but a liberal media fraud. The term ‘birther” was invented by the media to describe individuals who believe Barack Obama was not born in the United States. Neither I nor Brown fall into that category.
“I have consistently taken the view that Obama was born in Hawai’i as he says. Neither I nor Brown are ‘birthers.’ Neither of us believes Obama was born anywhere but Hawai’i,” Martin says. “Obama was born in Hawai’i.”
“But, the issue of whether Obama was legitimate, and whether his parents were legally married, is an entirely different matter.
“Under United States law, in 1961 we followed British law in recognizing non-US marriages (we still do). Under British law, Barack Obama senior was legally married in Kenya. Liberal media have tried to adopt the racist view that ‘tribal marriages’ were not legal. But under British colonial law, the marriage of Barack (Sr.) and Kezia Obama was 100% legal under British law.
“The argument that Barack Onyango Obama, President Obama's grandfather, would have allowed his son Barack senior to engage in an illegal marriage in Kenya is sheer nonsense. The Kenyan marriage was 100% legal. Period. I do not think you could find anyone in Kenya who would argue otherwise. Because the Obama marriage in Kenya was legal under British law, President Obama’s father’s purported marriage in Hawai’i was bigamous and therefore null and void under Hawai’i law.
“Hawai’i law is very clear on that fact. Tagupa v. Tagupa, 121 P.3rd 924 (Hawai’i App. 2005).
“No competent attorney who is familiar with marriage law could argue to the contrary. Barack senior was legally married under British-Kenyan law, with a family. He came to Hawai’i while legally married. He purported to marry a second time.
“The Obama ‘marriage’ in Hawai’i was bigamous and therefore null and void. When Barack was born, he was born in Hawai’i, but his birth was illegitimate.
“Obama’s sense of shame that he was illegitimate may explain his reluctance to release his original, typewritten 1961 birth certificate,” Martin says.
“I do not think the term ‘illegitimate’ is used generally any more,” Martin concludes. “But in Obama's case the term still applies. Unlike a child born of two unmarried parents, who can now be called a ‘nonmarital’ child, Barack Obama was born of a void marriage, due to the prior valid marriage of his father.
“So the Obama ‘marriage in Hawai’i enjoyed no legitimacy under either American or Kenyan law. President Obama could not, for example, have inherited from his father had the father left an estate when he died.
“Both Barack Obama and I know the truth. That's why he constantly has his smear artists attacking me and trying to stop me from becoming the Republican Party candidate for U. S. Senator in Illinois.
“Obama’s latest attempt to smear Scott Brown with lies is despicable. Why won’t Barack Obama just admit the truth to the American people and be done with it? Obama’s ego is so colossal and his arrogance is so all-encompassing that he is mentally incapable of admitting to the American people the true facts concerning his birth: born in Hawai’i, to parents who could not be legally married because his father was already legally married and therefore a bigamist.
“Americans would feel a whole lot better about Barack Obama if he stopped lying to us and just faced the truth. The truth may be painful for Obama to acknowledge. But the truth is the truth. Obama should stop smearing people who tell the truth about his unfortunate legal situation when he was born. Obama himself did nothing wrong; it was his putative parents who broke the law. Still, the fact that he was the product of an illegal and void marriage under Hawai’i law is a legal fact that he cannot deny or conceal.
“Scott Brown was absolutely correct to express his concerns. Maybe he had read my book, ‘Obama: The Man behind The Mask.’”

You have probably learned by now that Mark Kirk has fled the City of Chicago to avoid debating me on WLS-TV. What is he afraid of? Does Kirk’s behavior constitute “cowardice in the face of the enemy?”
WLS-TV also offered all of the Senate candidates a 5-minute video for the Channel 7 web site. The station has done an excellent job of bringing you the information you need to make an intelligent decision.
In a campaign that is unfortunately very acrimonious and adversarial, I wanted you to see a different side of me, and hopefully share my passion for genuine health care reform as well as my belief in the need for a more conservative foreign policy. Mark Kirk’s campaign tries to torpedo Channel 7 debate, flees Chicago
U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin’s “Bunker Busters” cause panic in the Mark Kirk campaign. The supposedly-inevitable liberal Republican primary winner, Kirk is terrified to face Martin in a televised debate at WLS-TV. After agreeing to debate on Channel 7, Kirk organizes a rival event in East Peoria to undermine WLS-TV’s debate. Martin calls Kirk’s maneuver “the most obvious sign of complete panic in the Kirk campaign. Mark Kirk is a coward.” Martin’s next “Bunker Buster” attack on Kirk begins airing January 18th. “He can run, but he can’t hide,” Martin says. “What are they going to do in Peoria, watch the WLS-TV debate? (CHICAGO)(January 12, 2010) Republican U. S. Senate candidate and insurgent “Internet Powerhouse” Andy Martin announced Tuesday that Mark Kirk has fled the City of Chicago after agreeing to a televised debate on Channel 7 Thursday, January 14th. Mark Kirk agreed in December to participate in a Republican candidates’ debate, as part of a series of debates of Democratic and Republican Party candidates for U. S. Senator and governor produced by WLS-TV.
Kirk has apparently now withdrawn his agreement and left the City of Chicago. In disgrace.
“What does it say for ‘Gungha Kirk,’ who claims to be winning the Afghan war single-handedly, that he is afraid to debate his opponents?” Martin asks. “It says that Kirk is terrified he is losing the primary and has moved into full panic mode.
“Kirk’s East Peoria event was only announced on Monday. He is using ‘pay-to-play’ to lure county chairman to schedule a bogus ‘meeting’ as a diversionary tactic. The Bunker Busters have broken the morale of Kirk’s campaign. The candidate is afraid to appear. Kirk has not been seen at any function open to the public since returning to Illinois. He only appears at closed, controlled-access meetings. This is the media’s darling? This is the ‘establishment’ candidate? Kirk is not Illinois Tough; I am,” Martin says.
“I did a little quick research,” Martin notes. “There is no record that a statewide candidate for national office in any state has ever failed to debate after agreeing to do so. It's an unprecedented collapse in American political history. Kirk is in full panic mode. While the effete, elite media sing his praises with citations to Kirk’s imaginary military record, in reality Kirk’s campaign is dying.
“The senate primary is now a two-man race between me and Kirk. I mean no disrespect to the other candidates, but no one takes them seriously as opponents for Kirk, or the Democrats. No one doubts I am ‘Illinois Tough’ and ready to fight to the death for conservative principles. No one doubts that it was my Bunker Busters that broke Kirk's will to fight. I will do the same to the Democrats.
“The fact that Kirk is not at the debate will only increase the intensity of the attacks. Thursday night's WLS-TV debate is going to be a historic TV event. Kirk is a coward. A candidate who was genuinely forty points ahead, as the Chicago Tribune’s bogus poll indicated, would not cut and run. He would stand and fight if he had a secure lead.
“The humiliation of defaulting after agreeing to debate is shattering to the Kirk image. And the Kirkster is all image. Obviously, his 'lead' has evaporated. Kirk’s campaign is collapsing.
“My attacks on Mr. Kirk have admittedly been unpleasant. I wish I didn’t have to make them. But they were 100% fair and accurate. I have unfortunately had to expose the true nature of Kirk’s two-faced life and career. And there’s more to come. The Bunker Busters will keep rolling as long as money permits. We are out beating the bushes for more cash to run ads. We are looking for TV money. Now people can now see that my claims we are taking down Kirk are not an exaggeration. I took a candidate the Chicago media worships and literally ran him out of the city. That’s an Internet Powerhouse for you.
“Kirk will be hiding out in East Peoria while the debate will go on in Chicago. The little critter is afraid to face me. I have half a mind to send a few Asian carp downriver to chase after him,” Martin says. “The Bunker Busters have brought reality crashing down on Mark Kirk.
“Stunningly, the Democrats are also observing Kirk’s retreat. They smell the blood in the Illinois River. Kirk’s credibility and inevitability is shattered. Kirk’s ‘escape from Chicago’ has confirmed my claim I am going to pull the upset of the decade on February 2nd.”
