Dear Friend,

Just a short note with some campaign updates.

You have probably learned by now that Mark Kirk has fled the City of Chicago to avoid debating me on WLS-TV. What is he afraid of? Does Kirk’s behavior constitute “cowardice in the face of the enemy?”

WLS-TV also offered all of the Senate candidates a 5-minute video for the Channel 7 web site. The station has done an excellent job of bringing you the information you need to make an intelligent decision.

In a campaign that is unfortunately very acrimonious and adversarial, I wanted you to see a different side of me, and hopefully share my passion for genuine health care reform as well as my belief in the need for a more conservative foreign policy. So we adopted a softer format for the WLS-TV video. Let me know what you think (the link below has two lines):

Right now we are finalizing our TV budget for the last weeks of the campaign. If you or someone else would like to make a contribution to nominating the strongest candidate for Illinois Republicans, please go to our web site, www.AndyforUSSenator.com where you can make an online donation.

Be sure to watch the Channel 7 Republican Senate candidates’ debate Thursday night. You will be surprised by what you learn about Mr. Kirk.

And do see if you can round up some cash so we can round up our TV ad budget. We have a strong message to share with Republican voters. We need your help to broadcast that message.

Best wishes,

ANDY
